What We Do:
ECD Support & Capacity Building
We support under-resourced ECD centres in Midvaal through learning materials, practitioner guidance, school readiness interventions, and structured support toward full regulatory compliance to qualify for DBE assistance.

Food & Nutrition Aid
We provide nutritious meals to children attending supported ECD centres, addressing hunger as a barrier to learning.

Lead Implementation ECD Centre
Our on-site ECD centre serves as a demonstration hub where programmes are piloted and refined before scaling.

Our Values & Commitments
Commitment to Early Learning Excellence
We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood development programmes that lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Through continuous improvement, innovative teaching approaches, and educator support, we ensure that young children receive nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environments that support their holistic development.
Integrity & Good Governance
We operate with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our programmes and partnerships. As a compliant Non-Profit Company and Public Benefit Organisation, we uphold strong governance practices and ethical standards in our work with children, parents, funders, government departments, and community stakeholders.
Inclusivity & Child Protection
We promote inclusive access to early learning, youth development, and skills programmes for all children and young people, regardless of background or circumstance. Our programmes are designed to be safe, supportive, and responsive to the diverse needs of our community, ensuring that no child or young person is left behind.
Collaboration & Community Upliftment
We believe that sustainable impact is achieved through strong collaboration with families, educators, government departments, municipalities, and community partners. By working together, we strengthen community-based early learning initiatives, support youth empowerment and skills development, and contribute to long-term community upliftment and social development.
Our Model & Impact
Lesedi SmartMinds NPC uses a lead implementation model to strengthen early childhood development in under-resourced communities. We demonstrate quality early learning, nutrition support, and compliance practices through our on-site ECD centre. Proven tools, training, and systems are then extended to partner ECD centres through structured support, mentoring, and resource sharing. This ensures that improvements are practical, sustainable, and suited to community realities. Our impact includes:
- Improved school readiness and holistic development for children aged 0–6
- Increased attendance and participation through consistent nutrition support
- Strengthened ECD centres with improved governance, practitioner capacity, and readiness for DBE support
- Improved outcomes for children and families in vulnerable communities
Our Community Champions
We are grateful to the parents, donors, and partner organisations who support Lesedi SmartMinds NPC through contributions, donations, and ongoing encouragement.
